You’re an elite prospect. What else should we know about you?

I travel from Idaho to California to play for Sorcerer Ricks and I love every second of it.

How did your softball journey begin?

I was 5 and a half when I began playing for our local youth league and fell in love with softball.

What are your greatest strengths as a softball player?

I am a huge communicator and talk every pitch to make sure that everyone has our pitcher's back.

What kind of hitter are you and what are your most recent offensive stats?

My biggest strength in hitting is not getting overwhelmed in the hard situations. I am able to stay calm while up to bat in tough situations. Last season I batted a .350.

Describe your leadership style and what characteristics do you find in outstanding leaders?

I chose to lead by example and positivity. I feel that my teammates respond best when we are all in it for each other and can feel that we all want each other to succeed. I feel like one of the most outstanding leaders I have seen play is Delaney Spaulding. She has been an amazing leader at all the levels of her career and I love to watch her lead with a positive attitude.

You’re obviously very busy with so many activities and events in your life. How do you balance your life and manage your time so effectively?

Outside of softball I love spending time with my family. We like to play board games and cards together. I also like helping with my little sisters practices, spending time with friends, and attending my high school sporting events. I have always put my grades first and to maximize my time I try my hardest to get my homework done whenever I have free time at school. I am currently enrolled in 3 college classes so when focusing on studying I always order my classes from my top priority to my classes that I feel more comfortable in.

Describe your gameday mental preparation and your thought process and mindset in the batters box.

I feel that it is very important to prepare mentally before you step into the box. Before I am in the hole I will take a deep breath and visualize how I want my next at bat. When I visualize it slows me down and gets my nerves settled before I walk onto the field because once I step on the field my mind is focused on the task at hand.

What is your favorite sports memory and greatest achievement?

My favorite sports memory was getting to travel to Texas to be a part of the USA Women’s Junior National Team. It was a great experience and I was able to meet great people. I had so much fun getting to play amazing girls from all over while getting to be coached by outstanding athletes.

How would your teammates and friends describe you?

I feel that they would for sure describe me as talkative but also a very reliable friend and a positive teammate.

Who is your role-model and or idol and why?

My role model is my mom she has always taught me that on top of being an athlete you have to be a great human first. She has shown what it means to have confidence in yourself and taught me to always see the good in people.

What is your softball dream/goal?

My dream is to play softball while getting my degree.

When deciding on what college team to play for what are the most important things you’re looking for?

Location is a big factor.

What gets you hyped or ready before a game?

I love to listen to music in the car on the way to the game. I also love morning games I am always so hyped up before morning games and love the feeling of being a little cold while warming up.

What is your favorite jersey number and why did you choose it?

I have always loved number 9, my mom was always number 9 when she was playing so it was naturally my number and I have loved it sense.

What other hobbies do you have to balance out softball and your personal life?

Who would you like to thank for your softball achievements and support?

I would like to thank my family for all the support they have shown me and my Nana and Papa for always being there for me and helping us with all the travel. My Dad and Mom are always willing to help me me improve my game and have given so much to make me a better athlete.
