Atlanta, Georgia:
2021 Regionals National Champions
If travel teams were investment stocks, then it would be an investor's dream to own stocks in AP Gold 06 - Sweat. Based out of Atlanta, Georgia and led by Head Coach Jason Sweat, this young gritty 2006 squad is comprised of 2024 and 2025 graduate class players and has an extensive and jaw-dropping list of accolades. This is an extremely talented team that not only rebuilds but reloads each season. This past Fall/Winter season, they added four spectacular players to an already wealth of riches to compliment an established nucleus of elite prospects.
With a proven history of top-shelf achievements, AP Gold 06 - Sweat garnered the United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) Regional World Championship in 2021, placed 3rd in the USSSA Nationals in 2020 and in 2019. Winners of the United Softball Association (USA), Premire Girls Softball (PGF) State Champions in 2015, United States Fastpitch Association (USFA) State Champions in 2016, USFA National Runner-Ups in 2017, USSSA State Championships in 2017, and 2018 USA State Champions.
One of the main reasons why AP Gold 06 - Sweat consistently is in the elite travel team discussions is because of their pitching. The pitching rotation has always been special, and with Claire Clements (2024 Grad) one of the best pitchers (and power hitter) in the nation being added to the mix of a stable of stud pitchers, the expectations are higher than ever. Late day/night games on Championship Sundays and team photos with trophies and hardware will be the expectation for this elite team.
JJ Sweat (2025 Grad) is a highly decorated player and is a top 30 nationally ranked player by Extra Inning Softball and Fastpitch Network and who scores off the chart in our evaluations. We at Legacy & Legends Softball (L&LS) grade her as a solid 5-Star recruit and on the Top 50 Watch List. They also added an outstanding power pitcher in Karson Johnson (2024 Grad) who we verified is on numerous college watch boards, and rising star Meredith Durden (2025 Grad) who is a 5' 10" power pitcher (60+ mph) who has also caught the attention of several college programs. The state of Georgia hasn't seen a dominating pitching rotation like this since the Atlanta Braves touted Greg Maddux, John Smoltz, and Tom Glavine.

Behind, err ... in front of every successful pitcher is an outstanding catcher(s). AP Gold 06 - Sweat has a coach's dream backstop. Their catchers work hard and behind the tutelage of Coach Ancil Chambers, the growth and development of is quite noticeable and remarkable. Kyndall Rackley (2024 Grad), Madi Curtis (2024 Grad), and AG Dennis (2024 Grad) comprise this stellar catching crew and one of the first things you notice is their gametime high softball IQ. They work in-sync with Coach Chambers and pitchers while calling situational plays and defensive alignments.
Albeit this talented team is known for its great defense, they are equally as astonishing offensively. They are very adept and successful in executing small ball and creating speedy base chaos while boasting a lineup full of power hitters.
AP Gold 06 - Sweat has a deeply gifted and talented lineup from top to bottom with absolutely no holes. Setting the tone is Ansleigh Broome (2025 Grad) a superb 2B/OF and top 45 ranked player by Extra Inning Softball. Newly added MIF/OF stud Emma Hare (2025 Grad) is the Rookie of the Year for her high school. Kayla Berry (2024 Grad) Top 45 ranked player, Karson Johnson (2024 Grad) is a poweful P/1B, Kyndall Rackley (2024 Grad) is a highly touted top 150 Catcher, AG Dennis (2024 Grad) is a Top 200 C/OF, Rileigh Queen (2025 Grad) is a well-known stud prospect and ranked in the Top 100 by Extra Inning Softball. Madi Curtis (2024 Grad) is an All-Region Selection, and Caroline Clements is a 6 foot first baseman that is an game-changer who gives confidence and assurance to infielders making throws.
Claire Clements (2024 Grad), Ava Harrison (2025 Grad), Emma Pesavento (2024 Grad), and Emma Scott (2024 Grad) are noteworthy proven players that encompass and round-out this treasure trove of talent.
On the coaching and mentorship side of the white lines, the team is stacked with Jedi softball experience and knowledge. Coach Sweat has the luxury of having this robust staff. Assistant Head Coach/Catching Coach Ancil Chambers, Assistant Coach Taylor Clark, Assistant Coach Brian Rackerley, Team College Recruiting Coordinator Jon Stewart, and Practice Coordinator Tory Acheson.
